While thrift shopping I found a record from Naarghita (1939-2013), a Romanian singer of Indian songs. She became enamoured by Raj Kapoor movies and started singing in that Bollywood style. She sang internationally but was eventually shunned by the regime, which led her to into obscurity as years went on.
