Back in my teenage days of Limewire, Coldplay albums were some of the first I downloaded and listened to. I didn’t know any better as I was only checking out what everyone else was listening to, but I could have done worse. Indeed I listened to a lot of crap too. Anyway, this is Coldplay’s second soft-rock record, it’s what you would expect: pleasant radio music that doesn’t hit too hard but is nonetheless… nice. Except for a couple songs, like “Clocks” and “The Scientist”, there’s not much to write home about, unless you have a crush on someone with “Green Eyes”. Decent stuff, it gets an indulgent 7/10 as I just saw them in concert.
