About

Disenchanted by the current monolithic state of the internet, I thought I’d resist the trend and make the web just a tad more personal. I no longer use any social media, so this is now my only online presence, a sandbox for sketches, photographs, art, reviews and who knows what other projects and opinions. I pick up and abandon hobbies all the time, maybe this will stick for longer than that two-day-crochet-phase.

It’s a hobby website tailored to things I like, do, think or find interesting. I’m tired of and opposed to influencer-culture looking for fame, infamy or money, so that’s never gonna happen here. If you want to stick around, add this to your RSS feed; WordPress has a subscribe feature too, but I will only check the notify box on the occasional, more substantial posts.

I work on software during the day so I spend more than enough time tallying up that screen time. In the rest of the time I try to keep things “analogue” as much as possible. I dabble in improv, art, books, movies, music, cooking, chess, puzzles and so on.

The main themes I’ll post about:

  • 1001Albums, Books, Movies – Inspired by the massive “once in a lifetime” lists, I’ve aggregated them in a few spreadsheets and will try to experience them all, gradually posting them here.
  • Bucket List – In the same vein as above, I’ve made my own list that I update now and then. There will be occasional posts on more significant checked items
  • Hobbies – Art, Coffee, Cooking, Photography, Puzzles, Chess and so on
  • Daily Snap – Project inspired by Andrei, an image per day from June ’24 to May ’25.
  • Pop Post – A special album list, details as it unfolds
  • Writing – Short stories, sketches and other written articles
  • Winks – Quick tidbits, images, thoughts and songs.

Seb’s Web

A web hermit’s hideaway for posting attempts at art, whacks at writing, rolls of reviews, bucket list blunders, artificial articles and a hodgepodge of hobby histories.

Stick around for stories on slow, retro, and analogue living, odd history, weird finds, half-baked reviews, alternative media and a big folder labelled “misc”.
